Let’s give David Moyes some credit
All the crap he is putting up with and doing well.
Great displays against Arsenal and Wolves.
Good end to last season to keep us up.

Happy days enjoy it!

(I looked for the old credit to Moyes thread but could not find it!)

I'm afraid Darby's right and this thread will be ripe for resurrection not long from now.

But well done to Moyes and his team and to our team. Great to see.

Moyes deserves credit. Did great tonight and improved versus Arsenal.

He’s fighting Sullivan, who clearly wants his own targets, but won’t risk ‘civil war’ (talksport interview)

Re: Let’s give David Moyes some credit
We weren’t great at Arsenal but we were better. Great performances don’t lose games.

Last night was very good but let’s not get carried away yet. Very rarely do we win back to back PL games.

If we can get to 5 or 6 points from this horrible start then we’ll be ok. Early days still.

Re: Let’s give David Moyes some credit
We beat Ballmouth 4-0 when Moyes had virtually nothing to do with the team

We now beat Wolves 4-0 when he has been away for a days having virtually nothing to do with the team

Surely we have to fake his Corona tests and keep him in isolation?!?!?!

Before the match Irvine said that Moyes had completely called the shots on the training, team selection and tactics.

One swallow does not an orgy make.

Good signs. Enjoyed watching the TEAM do well, despite the awful clueless, greedy ownership.

People who think Moyes had nothing to do with that really are about as ignorant as it is possible to be.

Funny how people weren’t so keen to dish out plaudits after the awful Newcastle game

Good result last night from the team and coaching team inc. Moyes but let’s keep feet on the ground a bit

Re: Let’s give David Moyes some credit
He has found a system which makes better use of the players we have got and that is good. Whether we have cover in those positions, whether it's a system that will work against many teams also not sure.

Yes he deserves credit as do the players for putting aside the negativity and pulling out some great performances. Much needed boost and proof that when we are a team we are decent.

It will take a great deal more wins than he's currently achieved though to convince me that Moyes is the man to turn around our fortunes.

Re: Let’s give David Moyes some credit
What I hope is that if this is the system we are going to play, that we own it and continue to utilise it in the coming weeks, and not reverting to matching up the opposition in games where we consider ourselves 'inferior'.

Leicester next week will be an interesting test. Also this formation essentially puts Noble out to pasture, as there is no where within the system to accommodate him.

I found it weird giving him minutes at right forward last night, than say Lanzini or Anderson.

It's promising signs though. Hope Moyes has the belief with it to stay the course.
